Seeking a Digital / Interactive Designer with a focus and aptitude for crafting, detail and compelling interfaces to join our creative team at our award-winning Manchester-based marketing agency.

The role: Digital Designer

This is an opportunity that will give you a specialist and valued role within the creative team of a busy and creative marketing agency with clients ranging from international blue-chip, fortune 500 to boutique SMEs. The work will encompass everything that's possible in digital marketing, from emails, microsites & websites right through to mobile applications, games, social media applications and augmented reality. In whatever you do you will be expected to contribute both aesthetically and creatively to help create great user experiences. The role is a new opening as the team expands to support a highly experienced team in both creative and digital design & advertising. We are particularly keen to hear from people that have experience in animation using Adobe After Effects & Adobe Flash.

NOTE: This is NOT a developer role.

Your special skills would include:

  • A minimum of 1 years’ interactive design experience in a commercial environment.
  • Designing full standards compliant websites, microsites, landing pages, social media integrated projects, email campaigns, online banners, mobile apps and more as the nature of the industry diversifies.
  • Actively develop and design Flash animation sequences, whether they are for website or banners.
  • Experience of working to defined internal processes and procedures.
  • Experience of usability concepts, best practices, user experience, intuitive navigation design, the mechanics of interaction and engaging design.
  • Knowledge and understanding of HTML, JavaScript & CSS purely as an aid to the creative process. (This is not a development role)
  • Full working knowledge of; Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, InDesign, Acrobat.
  • It would be desirable to have a working knowledge of; Adobe After Effects, Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Microsoft Office Suite


The salary

Between £17k-£20k PA depending on aptitude and experience.

In addition our earn-as-you-learn scheme allows you to earn an extra £1,000 PA.
